Athol Plantation

Athol Plantation

History and elegance combine at the beautifully secluded Athol Plantation. Featuring a quiet location on the edge of the Albemarle Sound, and just a couple miles away from the heart of historic Edenton as well as the nearby Edenton Northeastern Regional Airport, this retreat is close to everything that visitors will want to access, but feels like its miles away from the rest of the world.

The plantation home itself was built in 1836, and was renovated to its former glory in 2011. Outfitted with a fine collection of heirlooms, art, and antiques, and professionally landscaped to provide a beautiful setting inside and out, guests will enjoy historic old world charm and modern amenities around every corner. There are four private bedrooms within the home, which all include breakfast and evening drinks, cable TV, wireless Internet, and washer & dryer. With spacious accoutrements that range from separate siting rooms to walk-in closets, guests will be surrounded by luxury but will still feel that historic ambiance. Friendly owners are happy to provide information on what to see and places to go, and with a quiet locale that’s close to everything but is nicely separate from the heart of town, Athol Plantation is a dream destination for couples, romantics, and everyone who appreciates the good life.
